The cottage was beautifully decorated and very modern in its decor. It was also well-equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The location of the cottage was convenient for exploring the area and was within easy driving distance of various tourist attractions. we were pleasantly surprised to find a selection of local produce waiting for us upon arrival.
There were a few minor downsides to our experience. there was a lack of certain basic items in the cottage, such as washing up liquid and a tea towel.

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming accommodation. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and even provided us with a delightful welcome box of local treats. The cottage itself was warm, beautifully furnished, and had stunning views from the sitting room and bedrooms. The kitchen and bathroom were done to a very high standard. We were also thrilled to find a 7KWH car charger outlet for our electric car. The location was perfect, allowing us easy access to everything on the main island. We were able to explore numerous ancient sites and even enjoyed a day trip to Rousay and Hoy. The property had great amenities such as a telescope for wildlife watching and a bird hide to observe hen harriers up close. We especially appreciated having Netflix available for our entertainment. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, and we found the local community to be friendly and welcoming. Although the only minor improvement we would suggest is having a king-size bed instead of a double, overall our experience at Cottiscarth Cottages was truly fantastic. We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Orkney. I highly recommend this place for a wonderful stay in Orkney.

The cottage was luxurious and well-appointed with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The walk-in showers had excellent water pressure. The living room and kitchen were spacious and well-equipped for everyday activities. The views from the lounge windows were breathtaking, even on a rainy day. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and the gift basket with biscuits and goodies was a nice touch. The location was central and convenient, with small supermarkets nearby.
There was a lack of essential items such as washing up liquid and a tea towel. The kitchen could have used more mugs and side plates.
